Distinguishing features
A broad, flat slug with a hard leathery and granular texture. Dorsal surface mottled orange and red centrally, shades of brown and tan marginally. Tan rhinophores, darker brown gills. Underside of mantle with a broad central orange ring.

looks very similar on the dorsal side but lacks a broad orange ring on the underside according to the original description (Dorgan et al, 2002, based on two small specimens).
