Colours

Distinguishing features

Pink to grey with large tubercles arranged in ridges or groups, some tipped with yellow/orange. Black lines between groups of tubercles. Yellow rhinophores. Black midline on the foot sole (easy to see) and black line on its sides (often obscured by the mantle).

Size

Up to 6.5 cm (length according to Humann et al, 2010)

Synonyms

Similar taxa

Animalia: species: Phyllidia varicosa
also has a black midline on the foot sole, gold rhinophores and gold tubercle tips, but it is blue (rather than pink or grey), has a black Y-shaped marking on the head, and lacks a black stripe along the upper edge of the foot.
