Distinguishing features

A large worm-like sea cucumber with usually 25 tentacles. Brown flecked with white according to Cannon and Silver (1986) but Coleman (2007) shows a great variety of colour forms including banding in several combinations (red and white; green/brown and white; dark brown and red) with or without longitudinal red stripes.
