Local abundance

  • Lizard Island: Apparently very rare but possibly just very cryptic. Prior to the specimen photographed here, there were only two records from the area: one from explosive sampling in the lagoon between Bird and South Islands in 1975 and the other from an AIMS BRUV sighting near the outer reefs in 2003.
