The spawning individual on 1 Nov 2015 was about 10 m from base of reef and in spawning position when first observed. Bump enlarged around the gonopore rapidly (a minute or two) and spawning was over in less than a minute at around 3.30 pm on 1 Nov 2015. The tide was running out but there was very little current. Anterior end returned to normal position quickly. No other holothurians were observed spawning during the the dive and no other individuals of this species were observed at all.
