Distinguishing features
A small, transparent shrimp with an extremely long, white rostrum. Hump with a small red bar or spot and a white spot or short streak proximally and distally. Unclawed legs mostly white with narrow red band. Live in groups in shallow caverns where they hang midwater. They are probably cleaners but have not been observed cleaning at Lizard Island.
Recorded as Urocaridella sp. A by Debelius (1999) and as Urocaridella sp. 1 by Humann and Deloach (2010).
