Distinguishing features

Small polyps that live on or in sponges.

The record of this species at Lizard Island is based on specimens in the Museum of Tropical Queensland collected and identified as Parazoanthus puertoricense by James Reimer (included in a list provided by Paul Muir of MTQ in Feb 2020).
