Photo of Plantae: species: Crinum angustifolium (Lizard Island Field Guide)

A species of Crinum, possibly Crinum angustifolium, at Lizard Island Research Station. That species has been recorded by the Queensland Herbarium from the Cook's Look area. This specimen is in the backyard of Warman House and may be a different species introduced as a garden plant.

This plant has been in the garden for as long as I can recall. It was not planted by anyone at LIRS at least since 1997 when we moved into Warman House. Flowers seem to come out for the first time at night, and they only last for a few days. Note by Anne Hoggett.
