No photos. LIRS staff Stuart Pulbrook found a nest of these large biting ants between Talbot and Loomis House at LIRS sometime in 2013. He provided some dried specimens to Anne Hoggett for identification. In Dec 2015, ant ecologist Dr Ben Hoffmann (CSIRO, Darwin, NT) visited and took the specimens. He identified them as this species.
