Distinguishing features

Long rounded snout, long falcate pectoral and pelvic fins lacking dark tips, ridge between the dorsal fins (contributed by Clinton Duffy though iNaturalist, April 2021).

This species has not been recorded in the Lizard Island area since 1975 (Atlas of Living Australia accessed 8 Apr 2021).
