Distinguishing features

Byrnes et al (1977) listed this species from grassland at Lizard Island. Atlas of Living Australia (accessed 9 Aug 2022) lists a single record citing Byrnes et al (1977).

Three records of Thysanotus banksii from Lizard Island are also listed by ALA (accessed 9 Aug 2022). One was collected by Byrnes in 1975 and was identified in 2014. Two were collected in 1990. It seems unlikely that both species are present and Thysanotus banksii is probably the correct name.
