Distinguishing features

Myoporum acuminatum has been recorded from Cooks Look and noted as rare by George Batianoff in 1988 (Atlas of Living Australia accessed 14 Sep 2023).

The photographed specimen is a strand-line shrub. Leaves are long and thin (lanceolate), pointed (acuminate), dense, rather thick, lacking obvious side veins and are spirally-arranged. Flowers are small and white with five petals. Fruits become purplish when ripe.
