Distinguishing features

This is the only pine tree known from Lizard Island. It occurs in a single grove comprising some tens of trees at the base of a steep slope on the eastern side of Cook's Look. Trees up to 12 m high were recorded in the 1980s (ALA accessed 24 Sep 2019) but in Nov 2019, the tallest were only about 6 m and there were many small ones (Snow Amos).
