Distinguishing features

Distinctive purple flowers with fringed petals. Uncommon at Lizard Island.

This identification is based on records of the species at Lizard Island identified in 2014 (Atlas of Living Australia accessed 9 Aug 2022). There is also a record from Lizard Island in ALA of a very similar-looking species, Thysanotus tuberosus, but it was identified much earlier and may be incorrect.
